Comparison of Physical and Physiological Effects of Continuous and Interval Running Training in Elite Adults

Aim: It is known that endurance trainings increase physiological adaptations. However, knowledge on its effects physical and motor performance insufficient. Therefore, this study aims to compare the of 8-week continuous interval runs in elite adults. Material Methods: A total 18 adult male athletes between ages 19-25, consisting (CR) n:9 group (IG) n:9, participated study. While running was subject method 3 days a week for 8 weeks, used other group. Experimental research model, including pre-test post-test, Body weight measurement, 20-meters speed, vertical horizontal jump, cooper, balance, sit-reach tests were applied participating before after training program. Variance homogeneity obtained data tested, Independent Samples t test Paired analysis data. Results: After programs, change body Cooper values groups found be statistically significant (p<0.05). observed changes standing long balance sit-and-reach flexibility (p<0.05) while not significant. In addition, it determined there post-test compared values. Conclusion: As result, shows programs have positive endurance, when are compared, can efficient terms flexibility, speed performances.
